After our own experiences as caretakers for friends and family, we have seen firsthand the financial toll cancer can take on a patient and their family. After talking with social workers at local hospitals and treatment centers, we discovered there was a need for more help.

We started this organization with the goal of helping to provide financial support to cancer patients in treatment locally. Within a few short months our organization has turned this dream into reality, helping to provide financial support to many patients.

To establish and build a fund to financially assist people undergoing cancer treatment at Heywood Healthcare Hospital in Gardner or Athol, or Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center in Fitchburg with the ultimate goal of meeting the needs of as many patients as possible.

To help relieve some of the financial burden of people with cancer so their health can be their main focus.

The Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass was founded by:

Tammy Dwelly - President

Sharon Ann Mirovich, D.C. - Vice President

Patty Wayrynen - Treasurer

Sandy Bowers -  Secretary
